We offer a holistic solution from providing a builders report (pre-purchase), through remedial work and then continued maintenance of your property.
We use video to make sure you are fully updated every step of the way.

Our Story
Somerset, Dorset and Devon
I'm Marcus. I am a master builder with over 25 years experience working in both commercial and domestic settings.
In 2015 I relocated to Somerset from the South East, with my young family seeking a more tranquil lifestyle.
We found moving down difficult, having to dedicate every weekend to spend 8 hours in the car to come and look at the properties we were interested in. Which is where HomerReady was born.
Originally doing 2nd viewings for clients and giving an in depth Builders Reports (drains, chimney's , what repairs need doing (and when), costs etc).
We soon found that our clients who bought 2nd homes / holiday lets didn't want to spend their weekends fixing drainpipes or trying to get a plumber to service the boiler on a Sunday. Which is where our maintenance business came from.
We love living in Somerset and I'd love to help you achieve your goals.

Maintenance survey and safety checks to keep your property in tip top shape
Your Chimney is vitally important to the structure of your house, it is exposed on 4 sides to all the elements, so it stands to reason that some times it will need a repair. We often see that delaying routine maintenance can lead to much bigger problems later.
We are specialists with Chimneys, and have specific expertise in routine maintenance, surveying, smoke testing, re-pointing, repairing and all brick/ lead work required.
When we look at your chimney, we will video our findings and show you the condition, enabling you to make an informed decision on any work you need doing.

Relocation Services
If you are relocating to the South West, HomeReady are here for you.
If you are relocating to the Somerset, Devon or Dorset, HomeReady can help you through that process.
We can look at potential homes for you and give you a either a full builders report or a less detailed builders walk-though depending on your budget.
We can do this with you in person or if you not present we will provide you with a video report on your potential property and an estimate of work / costs involved.
Of course we will also be happy to talk you though the report and answer any questions you might have.
We can then also undertake this work for you, giving you regular updates and total peace of mind.
*this report is not to be used instead of a full builders survey from a chartered surveyor, we always recommend taking out a full building survey when purchasing a new home.
Repair
No Job to big, no job too small
You will be shown (via Video) what repairs need to be done and given an understanding of how urgent the repair is.
There is no job on a property that we can't fix from broken door handles to more involved structural issues, we work with fully qualified Gas Engineers and plumbers and guarantee the work that we do.
Depending on the complexity, you will be given a quote of the work to be done, if you are signed to one of our membership programmes, small jobs will be completed to a high standard.

Chimney Repair
July 2020
On this job we were asked to smoke test a Chimney that the owner was concerned about, after failing and closer inspection, the client needed the chimney repointed, the lead work flashing fixed, new chimney pots and some brick work.
All work completed in 4 days and the results speak for themselves.
Contemporary extension
Aug 2019
Our client was looking to create a kitchen family room and a contemporary extension to their 1930's home. We took on this challenge engaging various trades to deliver on tight timescales.
